Other than a picture of a board , you have not told anyone what make, model, year vehicle you are working on?, What software level you're running on your IM508, and whether you are in your update period with a good internet connection?, what module the board is out of?, and what information you are trying to pull from the chip? Did you check function viewer app on your IM508 to see if the on bench procedure is even supported for your make and model vehicle in question? Usually you need to line up pin 1 of the chip to pin 1 of the chip adapters. I don't see an APB120 with my XP400kit , so I assume the adapter is part of the XP400 Pro kit
